In.it.studios is an UK based company that design customizable garden studios. This garden studio in London is one of their works that shows how passionate the company is about modern and eco-friendly design. It’s prefab in cedar and installed on the site as a guest house nestled amongst the trees. Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich created this fake pool called The Swimming Pool, for The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan. Leandro put two clear acrylic glasses about a foot apart and filled the space in between with water. The top surface is also filled with about 4 to 5 inches of water so that it looks like a realistic pool. Watch the video, cool!

Artists are known to be eccentric and greatly devoted to their passion. Sayaka is one amongst them with very high reverence for human beings that are yet to find a place in the world. According to her, the work she does is a reflection of her experiences she has gained travelling around the world and living with different communities. She assembles the waste into animal form and brings the scrap to life. Her desire to find a community which she can all her own has led her to reclaim old worn out, unused things in the house and transform them into something meaningful.

Designed by dRN Architects this beach house doesn’t have a direct view of the ocean, so it’s oriented towards a more unexpected landscape. The open horizon of the Pacific has been replaced by the view the near hillsides to the west, and to the protected space defined by a group of preexisting trees. This independent backyard, isolated from the intense summer life of the beach town of Cachagua, offers a calmed retreat to take distance from the city. Here, the close relation to topography stimulates spontaneous exterior circulations between rooms, giving the same relevance to the interior life of the house as to the exterior events, trying to enhance the informal condition of the beach house and the possibility of a life “outdoors”.
